Along Fort Hunt road one will find high-rise condo's, to gorgeous brick garden-apartments, townhouses, cottages, treehouse residences, single-family houses and large manors. It's hard to give an newcomer a full appreciation of what's found in this area, but herein we highlight a few of your many choices. For a graphic representation of the area, check out our maps. Studio
Although studio apartments can be found nearby on Rt. 1, if you are looking for a quiet studio in the tranquil, safe setting of the Fort Hunt Area, your only choice is at River Towers.
1, 2 & 3 Bedroom Condominium
Both River Towers & New Alexandria have apartment living with condo's for rent or for sale. Each neighborhood has distinct advantages, and they are similarly priced.
Townhouse
New Alexandria, Belle Haven & Bucknell all have townhouse communities. These range from luxury townhouses, to economical starter homes in traditional post-war duplexes.
Cottage, Cape Cod or Starter Home
New Alexandria, Belle Haven, Bucknell, Hollin Hills, Hollindale, & Waynewood all have cottages and a selection of small homes. In some cases, these cottages are actually miniature luxury homes and in some cases these small homes are cut little starter homes. Many of the larger homes in the area started out as cottages so if you're considering your first home you might purchase with an eye toward expansion.
Single Family Home
